Morrey Halfon, CFO, Acting CEO

Morrey Halfon is an experienced financial executive and business consultant with over twenty years of banking experience and ten years of business and financial consulting. As President of Renaissance Consultants International, Mr. Halfon has assisted several startup companies as well as turnaround situations, including OnePoint Communications (sold to Comcast), Morgan Paper Company, MDI Entertainment (sold to Scientific Gaming) and Cities FM Inc. Mr. Halfon has an undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and a MBA from George Washington University.

Mimi Levin Lieber, Board Chair and Founder

Mimi Levin Lieber is one of the pioneers of modern market research. As President of Lieber Attitude Research, which was sold to Marsh McLennan in 1988, she devised new qualitative methods that are employed in consumer research to this day. Trained as a sociologist, she served for 15 years on the New York State Board of Regents (1981-1996). In 1997, she founded Literacy Inc., a non-profit organization serving to connect and support disparate efforts to advance early literacy in urban neighborhoods.

Theo Lieber, Editor-in-Chief and Co-Founder

Theo Lieber was formerly an editor at Harcourt Brace & Co., where he edited manuscripts, managed publishing schedules, and acquired new titles. Previous to joining Harcourt Brace, he was a store manager and book buyer in Berkeley, California, and a marketing director for Hebrew Publishing Company. Mr. Lieber has led the development of The Book Show™ brand, packaging, and editorial content. He has a bachelor degree in History from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and completed language studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
